August 23rd, 2007 | 1,193 Views

Ethical organic search engine optimization (SEO) methods refer to the optimization methods that are acceptable to search engines. Prominent search engines such as Google, Yahoo! etc., change their search strategies very often and the websites will require to adapt according to the rising demands from them. However, if the websites follow the ethical SEO methods, they are likely to succeed even after the search engines alter their strategies.

What are ethical SEO methods? Why they are always successful? Anybody who is familiar with SEO practices will agree that keywords play a crucial role in optimization. However, if anyone who wishes to get good optimization for his website decides to fill it with maximum number of keywords, sometimes in hidden scripts, the result will be a disaster. The search engine algorithm penalizes the websites that contain excess of keywords by labeling it as spam. If there are hidden texts in the website, it will invite more penalty from the search engines, and the website may be removed from the search engine index permanently.

The best way to keep a consistent website ranking is to focus on the following aspects of SEO.

· Do not use any hidden text or hidden links in the website.

· Do not stuff the website with irrelevant content. The content of the website should be intended to serve the purpose of it. A spammed website, for example, will not attract the customer for whom it is intended for.

· Avoid spam links. Relevant links always bring better results. However, if a website owner decides to get maximum optimization by including maximum number of links or links with a variety of content in them, he is going to suffer. The thumb rule for linking your website with others is to focus on the relevance of the content shared by both the websites. Don’t make an attempt to grab the customers of a popular adult site to your mortgage site.

· Avoid cloaking methods. Cloaking is a process of duping the search engines (also the customer) by presenting the user a content that is different from that was presented to a search engine. After a search engine spider identified a particular website, a server-side script displays a different content to the viewer. By this method, the websites that do not have appropriate content for SEO are unethically optimized.

Search engines do not demand that the content of the website be designed for their spiders to crawl easily. Rather they demand quality content in the website. Content of a website, therefore, is of paramount importance in SEO. Even if the search engines alter their methods in locating the correct website, the underlying principle will be based on the quality of the content.

Ethical organic SEO is worth of your effort. It is true that it will take a longer time to produce the best results, but you can rely on them totally. Instead of attempting shortcuts for easy and crooked method of optimizing your website, improve the quality of the content of your website by adding relevant and attractive content in it and updating it on a regular basis.
